feeding my puppy HUMAN baby food?

I've been told by many vets to feed my 7week old puppy human baby food! I thought they were crazy at first but, more and more kept on telling me so I'm pretty sure they're on to something. Anyways, if I do feed her human baby food, which I probably will if the experts are recommending it, how long should I feed it to her? Until she's what age? And then when she reaches that age, What do I feed her from there? Thanks!

Baby food like cereal of baby food like meat? Is there something wrong with your puppy that causes her to not want to eat?

The meat baby foods are okay for a puppy, but you could do better. I would try one of the better brands of canned food (Blue Buffalo, Merrick, etc.) and if she cannot handle it the way it comes out of the can, I would smoosh it up in the blender or food processor. You could also just feed her REAL food.

I am unclear on why this puppy needs this special care. At seven weeks, she should be able to eat a puppy version of whatever you intend to feed her. If you are going to be feeding kibble, you can moisten it with warm water and let it soak until the kibbles are spongy. If she doesn't want it (because she wants something better), you can mix a bit of baby food or canned food in. If she is a small breed dog, it will not be that expensive to simply feed her canned food, which is better for her than dry kibble.

If she is refusing to eat and there is noting wrong with her, train her to eat by being consistant with her meals now.
