he will be 4 weeks on monday and he is a very good baby never cries for no reason or anything but he never sleeps!
He wakes up about 7 am and is awake till about 12pm but he will only sleep then if i hold him.... as soon as i lay him down he will wake...he sleeps maby 4 hours a day tops.... then at night i put him to bed about 9 and he is usually so tired he goes straight to sleep in his crib ...but not for long about 10 30 he is wide awake.... after that he will only sleep for 10 or 20 minutes at a time unless he is in my arms..
what can i do about this i need sleep and he does too
please dont say let him cry bc i will not do that at this age

Babies don't come into the world knowing what to do, when to sleep. Is there a lot of stimulation going on around him that could be keeping him up? It may work itself out in the next few weeks.
You say he doesn't cry for no reason, so it's probably not colic, you can call your baby's doctor or nurse and get some good pointers on how to get your baby to sleep or teach him to 'self-soothe'.
